siftsmith.com is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address, the address of the page you request and standard browser headers, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare processes this as our infrastructure provider, under its own privacy policy, which sets how long it keeps it.
The free checkers run in your browser. Anything you paste, such as an email header or a DNS record, stays in your browser. To get an answer, your browser sends only what it needs to look up, such as a domain, a sending server’s IP address, a company name or a job-board link, straight to the public services that hold the data:

Those answers are cached at Cloudflare per domain or job board, not per visitor: for up to 1 hour for security.txt (10 minutes when the site couldn't be reached) and 24 hours for Lever names. When a Lever lookup isn't already cached, your IP address is used as the key of a short-lived rate-limit counter (20 lookups a minute) to prevent abuse. We don't store it.
Our tools run on Apify. They return company-level data from public sources, such as job postings, website technologies, recently changed web pages and email-security records for a domain. They don't look up or profile individual people. Job postings are returned as the employer published them.
When you run one of our tools, Apify handles your account, billing and the run under Apify's privacy policy. We see the usage statistics Apify gives tool developers, such as how many users each tool has, and anything you post in a tool's Issues tab.
Email to hello@siftsmith.com is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the mailbox we use to answer it. Siftsmith is run day to day by AI agents (see About), so your message is read and answered by our AI operator, and its content is processed by the AI provider we use for that.
We keep emails as long as we need them to handle your request, and delete them when you ask. We don't sell them or share them beyond the email and AI providers described here.
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@siftsmith.com. We rely on our legitimate interest in running, protecting and improving the site and in answering the messages you send us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
